Treat Her like Your Boss ? Be A Better Dad, Tips on Father and Daughter Relationship

No matter how tired or fed up you are with how things are going at the office or store or school, or wherever you might work, if the person who signs your paycheck walks in, somehow there is a little reserve of goodwill saved up, just for him or her.

From out of thin air comes a smile or a sudden lilt in the voice, or a very optimistic assessment of the absolute disaster staring everyone in the face. This good-natured version of you is like a can of emergency survival instinct, always there somewhere, just waiting to be used.

This is the source to which you might consider turning when you are completely fed up with your daughter, when she has found your last nerve and is standing on it, when you realize you have memorized the phone number of the private military academy over in the next county.

But instead of raising your voice to her, instead of saying some things you may regret later, instead of reminding her that you brought her into this world, instead of embarrassing her in front of the entire family, even though that is precisely what she deserves, just imagine .

What would you do if your boss suddenly walked into the room? Hmmm. Would you pull him by the earlobe? Would you stick your finger in his face and hiss like a snake? Would you ask him the same question over and over? Would you ask him the same question over and over? Would you call him a name? Would you call him by his full name in a loud voice with lots of extra pronunciation on all the consonants?

Probably not. Not if you wanted to keep your job.

To your boss you would show complete respect and consideration. To your boss you would give the benefit of the doubt. There is no concession you could not make, and no compromise that could not be reached.

Your daughter should get the same respect, if not more. Why not let her meet the kind and considerate you hiding there behind the angry and frustrated version? Why not introduce her to the resilient spirit who always finds a reason to laugh at a situation, regardless of how dire?

Let her say hello to the forgiving optimist who makes a self- deprecating remark to lighten the mood, and makes the whole room laugh. Let her hang out with the practical gamer who always finds a way to look at the bright side of things.<br>

Here is a parenting tip, Treat her like your boss.

Teenage Goal Setting – Tips To Ensure A Better Tomorrow

The more awareness that a child has about prioritization of the daily tasks, the more options the child will have to make correct decisions. By the time he/she is into teenage, he/she must be well acquainted with the goal setting skills. This will equip the child with much desired edge in the present days’ competitive world.

Thus, teenage goal setting is one of the most important, rather the most important determinant of how your children’s life shapes up in the future.

Following are some important characteristics that are frequently observed in teenagers who are walking the systematic goal-oriented path of accomplishing their goals. As a responsible parent and teacher, you must ensure that your child is exposed to enough opportunities to develop these characteristics.

1. A Positive Outlook – Teenagers normally develop a respect for their true worth only when they are regularly reminded about it and are encouraged to tap onto their true potential. It is how the people around them react to their actions and initiatives that decides the level of confidence they develop in their abilities. As a parent and teacher it is very crucial for you to keep pushing them on to do their very best at whatever they have set as their goal. Such efforts will help them significantly in building that excellent positive outlook towards life that catapult them far ahead of others.

2. Sense of being dependent and independent – There will come times in the life of your teenage children when they have no one but to turn to themselves for getting through a difficult phase. At these times, they must be taught to keep calm, look within themselves and look for that genius that always existed in their life but was never given due importance. They need to learn to depend on themselves and no other. However, this doesn’t mean that you desert your children during those crucial phases. You as a parent and teacher must always be available to guide them in correct direction without having to take them by the finger everywhere.

3. Learning to be accountable – It is very important for teenagers to develop attitude of taking up the responsibility of their actions. It is very often observed that teenagers after taking significant initiatives in a certain field, if aren’t able to make a great success of it, they start finding excuses to avoid embarrassment. They must be taught that there is nothing wrong in making mistakes and that mistakes are as much as part of life as success is. There is no more unfortunate teenager in this world than one who doesn’t commit mistakes and learns from them. You must also act as a role model for your teenagers by owning up to all the situations that lead you in a certain direction.

These were a few points that your teenage child must constantly strive to imbibe in his/her own life.

Teenagers must be taught to harness their true potentials to the fullest. Every teenager without exception has a storehouse of abilities that needs to be nurtured and developed. If taught the importance of goal setting early in their lives, teenagers turn into commendable adults who become valuable assets for any family, organization and the society as a whole. They must never be allowed to give up on their dreams and should be constantly encouraged to keep marching forward onto a difficult but victorious path.

New Dads Parenting Tips! Useful Tips to Help Man to Become a Better Dad!

So you are going to be a father? It is your first baby in your life? Let me share some of my experiences to all new dads here.

I understand how you feel – in fact my first lovely baby boy born in May 29, 2009. Being a new dad is so excited, but also there are many things to worry about such as how to become a great dad or am I doing the things right and etc. Therefore, I know what you are going through right now!

But, I want to let you know something… and it is this:

As you are searching ways to become a great dad, you are actually on the right track. I believe you have accompanied your wife or partner to her doctor appointments not only letting her know that you want to become a great dad, but also want to share the happiness together. Am I correct?

So here is some of my tips for you to get notice in order to become a great dad!!

What parenting tips do a new dad needs to know? It is this…

Know the Baby

Your new baby will not give you any signals that you are doing things right or wrong in their first six weeks. The reason is because babies are trying to adapting to this new world and all they do is cry and sleep. However, you can try to hold them and if they fall asleep on your chest, that means they like and trust you!! This is a very very warmth feelings because you will somehow feel the miracle of the love!

On the other hand, you must know that babies love to cry a lot. You need to get use to this because crying is a way of their communications. They will cry because they are hungry or they want you to hold them or change them and etc. Therefore, when your baby cries, do not just give to someone else. You should try to figure out yourself or maybe hold the baby in different ways until the point he or she feels comfortable with.

Remember, they cry because they want to communicate with you!

Please note: the neck of the new born baby is very soft, so you need to support their neck when you hold them. Also, try to protect the head of the new born baby, because their brain is actually developing during the first year. So be careful on this!! When you get use to holding the baby, you could try to give them a bath.

Most babies love warm water and you could have lot of enjoyments when doing that. However, you need to be careful because babies love to kick around during bathing and it is very slippery. So just pay very close attention to it.

Warning: Do not neglect the above tips!! Be sure to take this advice seriously if you want to become a great new dad and to enjoy the moment with your new born child.
